Aerospace Adventures Summer Youth Program

Each summer, Florida State College and the Aerospace Resource Center offers an Aerospace Adventures Summer Youth Program, which is a six-day interactive experience that will provide 40 middle- and high-school students with exposure to aviation and aerospace learning experiences.  This exciting summer program is offered at Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Aviation Center of Excellence and will be implemented by professionals with expertise in aviation and aerospace.

The program features a combination of aviation and aerospace-focused educational experiences, all linked to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning objectives.  The program is designed to inspire students to pursue a career that challenges their knowledge of advanced mathematics and science through the imaginative use of aerospace concepts.

This Aerospace Adventures Summer Youth Program is ideal for students with an interest in aviation and high-tech careers, and it is an excellent introduction to local aerospace career academies and/or in Florida State College’s AT-CTI program.

The instructors for this program come from across the country and are recognized for their expertise in aviation and aerospace programs. For more information, call 904-317-3840 or e-mail jrice@fscj.edu.
