Laboratory – 4 hrs

Basic wet lay-up construction, project layout, materials selection, and tooling.

Composite Fabrication – 4 hrs

Structural fabrics, matrices, and core materials, basic wet lay-up construction.

Project Completion – 4 hrs

Basic evaluation techniques, project final assembly, and final exam. The hands-on project will involve a hybrid composite wet lay-up construction to the specified requirements. The major goal of this project is to introduce workshop attendees to basic composite fabrication using materials and manufacturing methods common to industry. The project deliverable will be the finished manufactured component.
